1. Raising ginseng is one of the most pleasurable hobbies any outdoorsman can undertake. But the time involved from the first planting to the first harvest has turn away many people.
   
   
2. From the initial planting to the final drying stage and sale can be four to seven years depending on the method used to grow the ginseng.
   
   
3. Starting a ginseng garden need not be costly if it is grown under natural conditions. The largest cost is your own labor.
