  1. I do not recommend any kinds of chemical fertilizer in the woods garden. The troubles you get in using chemical fertilizer are not worth the effort. It only produces weaker plants which are more susceptible to diseases, and encourages the encroachment of tree roots.

  2. The more important factors in woods garden are moisture and shade, not the fertility.
