ECHINACEA ANGUSTIFOLIUM
- Effects of narrow-leaved purple coneflower, immunostimulant, mainly acting on non-specific immunity, hence may modulate immune function in allergy and autoimmunity; enhances resistance to infections, particularly of the upper respiratory tract; assists in recovery from chemotherapy; antiinflammatory, particularly by topical application.
- Summary actions, immunomodulator, antiinflammatory, vulnerary, lymphatic.
- Can be used for (indications supported by clinical trials): Treatment of upper respiratory tract infections; beneficial for the prophylaxis of upper respiratory tract infections and infections in general, especially in patients with weakened immunity including those undergoing chemotherapy; recurrent candidiasis; sinusitis; topically for skin complaints.
- Traditional therapeutic uses: Bacterial, viral and protozoal infections including infections of the digestive, respiratory, and urinary tracts; mild septicemia; state of weakened, suppressed or imbalanced immunity, including allergies and autoimmune disease; inflammatory and purulent conditions, including acne, abscess, furunculosis. Topically for treating poor healing wounds, inflamed skin conditions and bacterial infections.
