ROSA AND CITRUS TEA
(mei gui hua fo shou cha)
- Consists of Rosa rugosa and Citrus medica.
- This formula promotes the movement of qi and relieves constraint: used for Liver- stomach disharmony with such symptoms as a stifling sensation in the chest, pain and distention in the flanks and epigastrium, belching and poor appetite.
- Promotes movement of qi, harmonizes the blood and disperses stasis, use for irregular menstruation, premenstrual breast tenderness and menstrual pain due to blood stasis. Also used for blood stasis secondary to trauma.
- Cautions and contraindications: use with caution in case without stagnant qi, and in cases of yin deficiency with heat signs.
